GeoProMining (“GPM” or “the Company”), a diversified international mining group, has purchased eight units of heavy equipment for its Quartzite gold production plant. The machinery, which will be used for waste removal and road construction, is expected to achieve longer service intervals and lower fuel consumption than the equipment it replaces, thereby increasing productivity.

The new equipment at Quartzite includes three excavators, two bulldozers, two loaders and one grader, all manufactured by CAT. The new machines will have 20-22 hour service intervals. This is expected to contribute to greater efficiency at the enterprise: the outgoing equipment had a maximum service interval of 14 hours and required significant repairs due to their age.
