GeoProMining Supports Russian-British Trade and Investment Cooperation

GeoProMining (“GPM” or “the Company”), a diversified international mining group, is pleased to announce that it is a member of the Business Council of the Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Council serves as a platform for discussion of the current and future development of bilateral trade and investment cooperation, as well as issues relevant to Russian companies working in the UK market.

Among the matters recently discussed by the Council were the strengthening of bilateral economic and investment cooperation in the context of the Russia-UK Summit in Moscow; the Council also discussed the prospects for the development of regional ties between the two countries.

The Council includes leading Russian companies, banks and professional associations that work in the UK. In addition to GeoProMining, the Council includes representatives from Gazprom, LUKoil, VTB Group, Aeroflot, Intourist, the Russian Federation (RF) Trade Representative to the UK, Novatek, Vnesheconombank, the RF Federal Tourism Agency, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Russian Banks in the UK. The Business Council began its quarterly meetings in early 2011.

GPM CEO Roman Khudoliy said: “We are proud to be part of the Russian Ambassador’s Business Council, and GPM is happy to contribute to the expansion of business relations between Russia and the UK. Strengthening trade ties between our countries and increasing investment activity are important to the development of international companies, including companies like GPM.”
