GeoProMining supports Partez children development centre

8 November 2012, Yerevan

GeoProMining, a diversified international group of mining companies (GPM or the “Company”), supports educational programmes of the Partez children development centre in Vardenis. Helping social institutions in the regions of its presence is one of the key elements of corporate social responsibility Resources for Good.

The Partez Centre organizes educational programmes for children from low-income families living in the region of Gegharkunik. The children have classes of Russian and English languages, music, dancing and painting lessons. They also learn to play chess. In the summer, the centre organizes sightseeing tours around Armenia to familiarize children with the cultural and historical heritage of the country. The centre also holds celebrations and theatrical performances based on the works of famous writers.

“As part of the corporate social policy, GeoProMining pays special attention to educational programmes for children and teen-ages. Along with the opening of the interactive classes and the scholarship programme for students in universities of Russia and Armenia, we support projects aimed at pre-school children. We are involved in the construction of a kindergarten in the Ararat region and support this Children Development Centre in Vardenis. As a long-term investor, we are pleased to contribute to the social development of the regions where we operate,” said GPM President Roman Khudoliy.
