GeoProMining, a diversified international mining group (GPM or the Company), is pleased to announce that it will be holding a GeoProMining Table Tennis Cup among schoolchildren in Yakutia as part of the Company’s corporate social responsibility Resources for Good programme.

The competition will take place in Ust-Nera on 26-29 March 2013 during the spring school break. Eight teams from the Oymyakon Ulus (region) will represent Tomtor, Oymyakon, Sordonnokh, Tetyur and Yuchyugey settlements. The young sportsmen have been training since last November. The cup organizer Sarylakh-Surma, a company of GeoProMining Group, provided kids with sports equipment to get ready for the competition. The company is also taking care of accommodation and meals for the young cup participants and their attendants during the competition. GPM have prepared special awards – cups, medals and prizes – for the winners.

This is not the first time when GeoProMining support children’s sports in Yakutia: in July 2012 г. GeoProMining was a partner of the “Children of Asia” international games held in Yakutsk, Mirniy and Neryungri in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee.
